Biography

Sylvia is a diverse woman who has been studying holistic medicine for the past fourteen years. Her informal education has included experiences in a number of different cultures and environments including: Hawaiian medicine, Peruvian medicinals and western herbalism. Her formal training includes a bachelor degree from American University in Washington D.C, then she pursued a Master of Botanical Sciences from the University of Hawaii and a second Masters in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder Colorado.
She has great passion for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and has completed many post graduate courses making her one of the most skilled practitioners in the area. She has completed a 2 year post graduate certifcation program in Japanese Acupuncture with the Dr. Miki Shima, who is a reknown acupuncturist in San Francisco California. She has also taken course work in blood chemistry, functional medicine and thyroid function with Dr. Kharrazian. She is trained in Acutonics and anti-aging facial protocols through the Zen Mei System.

Sylvia specializes in pediatrics, women’s health, internal medicine, acute and chronic pain, and facial rejuvenation.  Through the combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine and lifestyle counseling she strives to achieve a balanced state within the body leading to holistic health for the body, mind and soul.  Sylvia is a member of the Holistic Pediatric Association and the Acupuncture Association of Colorado
